We grade the condition of our Antique Prints and Vintage Ads as follows:
Fine: This grade means that the vintage advertisement is a beautiful example with virtually no flaws (If any). (Please refer to main image for a closer look, as it is the exact magazine advertisement that you will receive.)
VG+: This grade means that the vintage advertisement has only the most minor defects, such as a small amount of marginal soiling or discoloration, not affecting the image. There is absolutely NO writing or water damage. Any defects would be completely hidden once matted. (Please refer to main image for a closer look, as it is the exact magazine advertisement that you will receive.)
VG: This grade means that the vintage ad has minor defects, which may range from minor soiling or discoloration to a very minor edge tear or two, none of which effect the ad itself. There is absolutely NO writing or water damage. Any defects would be completely hidden once matted. (Please refer to main image for a closer look, as it is the exact magazine advertisement that you will receive.)
VG-: This grade means that there is relatively significant staining, soiling, edge wear, wrinkling or tearing etc. Most of the imperfections would be hidden once matted. There is no writing or water damage. The vintage ad is all present and still in a collectible condition. (Please refer to main image for a closer look, as it is the exact magazine advertisement that you will receive.)
Good: This grade means that there is significant soiling, foxing, creasing or water damage, which may effect the image itself, but still worthy of consideration for a collector. We infrequently offer a vintage ad in such condition, unless it is a highly desirable or very rare advertisement. (Please refer to main image for a closer look, as it is the exact magazine advertisement that you will receive.)
Poor: This grade means that there is significant imperfections or other factors which significantly detract from the print ad, such as water damage, significant rips or tears or even missing part of the ad. We rarely offer print ads in poor condition, unless it is extremely rare and collectible. (Please refer to main image for a closer look, as it is the exact magazine advertisement that you will receive.)
